The term "Best Of Breed" was traditionally used in the field of horse or dog breeding but nowadays it's commonly used in the corporate world as a synonym for "best in class" or "industry leading". The Alphonso breed of mangoes from Chiplun region of India are considered best of best mangoes. This painting depicts these mangoes to show this concept in a visual language.
